I purchased a Thomas & Friends All Engine Go My Busy Book in the lead up to Christmas. I paid $20 for the only one left in store. I did a detailed review of this item and looked carefully at the small models in the book. I could see that this was nothing like previous My Busy Book Thomas And Friends offerings. The models were very shabby and lacking loads of the small details that are normally on My Busy Book characters. A comment left on the review pointed out that the back of the book showed incredibly well detailed models. This had me investigation the online sales photos used to promote this My Busy Book. In this video compare the amazing online photo to the small models I find in the book. The differences are ASTONISHING!

But why are these Thomas All Engines Go characters done in a very sub standard way? Considering the My Busy Books in the past have presented some amazing small models for $10 how come the book thats now double the price is so incredibly disappointing. The running joke I see in the comments is the knockoff Thomas toys are better detailed Vs the licensed toys. It certainly seems that way.

I also look at the Hot Wheels diecast cars & Thomas & Friends area at my local retailer at 7 days prior to Christmas. It's amazing what's NOT there but thats situation normal. I did find in the premium toy and hobby shops in the city some Thomas Wooden Railway stock. Only taken 2 years for it to be freely available in store.
